Nocturnal Adoration

The Nocturnal Adoration Society of the United States is an association for Catholic men and women. It was established in accordance with Church Law on November 28, 1928 and is officially affiliated with the Arch-confraternity of Nocturnal Adoration established in Rome in 1810.

The Society has a threefold purpose:

1) To provide a fervent response to Christ’ s invitation to keep prayerful vigil with Him.

2) To deepen the experience of communion with Christ in the Eucharist as He continues His self-offering and saving influence.

3) To become more conscious of the full significance of the Eucharist as the Sacrament of charity and unity for the Church and the world.

We meet at St. Aedan’ s Church on First Friday from 8:00 pm to 11:00pm during the months of January, February, March, July, August, and September. We meet at St. Margaret’ s Church on First Friday from 9:00 pm to midnight during the months of April, May, June, October, November and December.

Membership is open to all who are eager to enrich their prayer and Christian life by means of worshiping the Blessed Sacrament Exposed on the Altar. Many graces are given to all who participate in the most holy work of adoration.

Would you become, in spirit and truth, an adorer of the Risen Lord in the Eucharist—so that the Kingdom of Jesus may come in Power among us?

I would like to invite you to become a member of the St. Margaret’s/St. Aedan’s Nocturnal Adoration Society.  The Society meets every first Friday of the month between the hours of 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM. We alternate quarterly between the two parishes in Pearl River. In January we will worship at St. Aedan’s Church.

We pray the Liturgy of the Hours and also have quiet time. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to sign up for an hour. My e-mail address is  Please consider this important work of prayer for our parishes.

Thank you,
